Hamza Kebiri was a visiting scholar with the IMAGINE group at the Computational Radiology Laboratory at Harvard Medical School, Boston Children's Hospital in 2023. He received his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Meritxell Bach Cuadra at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). During his PhD he worked on super-resolution reconstruction of the fetal brain from diffusion MRI data. Hamza received a bachelor and master degree in Communication Systems from EPFL in Switzerland, and a master degree in Cognitive Science (Neuroinformatics & Neuroscience) from Osnabrück University, in Germany. Prior to his PhD, he worked in the Connectomics department of the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research (Germany) under the direction of Prof. Moritz Helmstaedter, where he focused on the segmentation and reconstruction of multibeam scanning electron microscopy (mSEM) data using deep learning. Hamza’s broad scientific interest encompasses neuroscience, brain reconstruction, machine learning and its applications to biomedical neuroimaging. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Lausanne.
