Firoozeh Shomal Zadeh

Firoozeh Shomal Zadeh is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Computational Radiology Laboratory at Boston Children’s Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. She earned her MD from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. Previously, she conducted research at the musculoskeletal imaging lab at the University of Washington starting in 2021, before joining the Computational Radiology Laboratory at BCH in 2023. Firoozeh is deeply passionate about exploring the intersection of computational imaging, machine learning, and deep learning-based models in clinical practice, with a specific focus on fetal neuronal development and AI in brain disease imaging. She aspires to enhance patient care by harnessing the potential of new technologies and imaging modalities, particularly in advancing our understanding of neuronal brain development.
